 I'll be giving you my impression now use this one for 24 hours and I'll give you my take on it how well it works in India if you use it for playing Hindi music English music, etc. and this is the Apple homePod and you just have one power cable to it apart from that you have nothing no aux port or anything.

I would say not for very big halls for example in this office it sounds perfect even in my bedroom I went over there and used it it worked fine but in my Hall which is slightly big this was not satisfying me so again if you are expecting to fill it with sound a big hall you will be disappointed one thing I like about this is that it has that six microphones and they work very well in fact when I was playing music very loud at 95% also really loud it can go really loud then also when I set that command it just picked it up and if I could interact with that so that is one thing that I have to go test but one thing I'm sort of disappointed to start again as I've totally you just interact with this with the command that is hey Siri what's the weather like for it it's currently clear and 35 degrees in Delhi temperatures are heading down from 36 degrees this afternoon to 24 tonight so as you can see you interact only with a voice so you don't even have an app actually on the what do you say Apple Store where you can do a lot of settings after that for example in terms of sound you don't even have settings like bass or treble so the sound signature what Apple has designed it's for that and don't get me wrong it sounds actually really good.

Apple HomePod has actually surprising good amount of bass for the compact size but at times I felt that I wanted slightly more bass but I didn't have any settings to set that so that is one thing that I've noticed there's no app separate app of the HomePod where you can actually tweak extra setting there are some basic settings, for example, Siri and stuff inside the Apple home kit you can actually set that but apart from that not a lot of customization that you can do with this one now let's talk about see the way you interact with this device is wire Siri so if you have an iPad iPhone, etc. I feel you Siri it's very similar to that but one thing I found very surprising is that because with Google not in India but in States and for example, even Amazon echo you can make actually voice calls and stuff but with this one when I try to make a voice call let me do that hey Siri call a Matt Bhavani, I wish I could but I can't help you, calls on home part as you can see it says it can't I'll just lower the volume hey Siri set the volume to 40% okay I changed it and one thing that I've noticed is that now this thumb pot is actually pretty near to me about three feet if you keep it that close the sound is not that great I would say at least you should be about eight feet away from it to get a good sound signature that is what what I've noticed and it actually creates a virtual surround it actually detects your room and then even placed it in an awkward position also after some time the sound came out really well so that is something that it is doing really well but again if you just keep it to three feet away from you you don't simply don't get that great sound signature.

So I would say just keep it slightly away at least about five-six feet away from you now about CD and how it works in India obviously this product is not sold in India, I actually got it from the buy imported paid a lot more money than a test I paid four hundred sixty-five US dollars for this one but for the voice commands it uses only what do you say Apple music to play music, for example, there is some misconception that you can't use it for music apart from what do you say Apple what do you say music but that's not true with air pod you can play music from any source, for example, I don't use Apple music my I've been using wynk music all the time and also Google Music Records half Google home from the past three months.

All my music is there and you can actually play music from what do you say Google play's music or even thing but you have to just go to the settings and from that source select airplay and select this one that way you can play but again if you want to just play songs directly from this from voice commands it's going to pick up songs only from what do you say on Apple music so that is one thing you have to know about it for example and its sort of a big mess for Hindi music most of the time let me just mute.

How well Siri works on this one because that's how you want to play music on it and it's using actually Apple music so if I say the word hey Siri app we can ask some questions detected hi yeah so let's first try it at this hey Siri play some Hindi music I don't see any Hindi songs on Apple music, your library as you can see but that's not entirely true because you can't place some Hindi music, let's try playing some specific Hindi songs now let's see if it can pick it up or not, for example, let's try this kabira is a very popular song let's see if it can play that hey Siri play Kabira for some reason I'll try again hey Siri play Kabira here's Michael w smith.

so as for Hindi music, it's totally messed but if you're going to play English music let's see how well it does and for English music, it's actually doing a far better job let's try to play some popular songs, for example, let's try going to California it's a very popular song let's see if I place that hey Siri plays hotel California, okay playing Hotel California my Eagles. For English music it gets it right almost all the time and you can even play songs from specific artists .if you're primarily going to play music via voice commands and you must lean listen to English music it's going to work most of the time and it picks up almost every song I throw on it but if you're going to try that for regional music or Hindi music as of now it's mostly a total mess now how does it sound compared to others I have all most of the smart speakers, for example, Google home the regular one this is the Amazon echo and all the stuff and definitely, this HomePod sounds way better than Google Home and even Amazon Echo devices.

If we talk about the price so certainly it's a good product if we just talk about the sound quality but again there is quite a bit of mess it's not very polished and if you mostly listen to Hindi music. I would rate it nine out of ten considering the fact that it is so small and tiny and it produces some very good Sun but at the same time, I'm also sliced slightly disappointed that I can't control some of the aspects like bass or treble there are there no settings on this one so the three I detected one point but if we just talk about sound compared to other Smart's because this one definitely sounds the best as of now.

If we talk about the price to performance then I would say in Apple HomePod Review it loses points and I would rate it about seven points five out often as I've mentioned, I frankly feel I will beat this one if you have that improper dual set up and yes Apple said that this can also work with multiple home pots and you get that stereo effect but as of now that functionality is not enabled and obviously if you have two of them the setup is going to become very expensive now coming to the smart aspects I would clearly say here Alexa even Google assistant is smarter and can do a lot more .so finally the price of this Apple HomePod is 19,900 in India.So this is my Apple HomePod Review.

Conclusion

I would say this product is for people who value music quality over other features if you just wanted smart features and stuff then I feel Alexa or even Google home would do better but again they don't sound as good as what the homePod is and lastly, homePod is restricted to an only iOS device so if you have an Android device you're out of luck you've got to have iPhone or iPad to make this one work.
